- Scope of Services
Geo Estimating LLC (“Geo Estimating”) offers consulting and project-support services such as but not limited to CAD drafting, quantity take-offs, material lists, cost data and related documentation.
The particular scope of work on each engagement will be defined in an Invoice or Proposal e-mailed or sanctioned by an online form.
2. Accuracy and Limitations of Deliverables
We base all quantities, numbers, and information contained in our deliverables on the project documentation provided by the client to the best of our knowledge.
- It is the responsibility of clients to ensure they give correct and comprehensive drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Our deliverables will be in the form of guidelines and support resources, not professional design or construction recommendations.
- Geo Estimating does not justify or assure that quantities, labor or material prices will be the same as final project costs, which are region, vendor, supplier, and time dependent.
- We rely on known databases (e.g., National Construction Estimator by Craftsman Book Company) of known labor and material costs; we periodically update them and can change them without warning.
- Clients can accept such limitations and forfeit claims in minor discrepancies by using our deliverables.
3. Delivery Timeline
- The average time of delivery after payment is 2-4 business days, unless stated otherwise in the proposal.
- Monday-Friday, excluding the U.S. public holidays.
- The estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed and an expedited service or guaranteed-by charge must be agreed upon in advance.
4. Revisions and Additional Work
- The standard scope agreed during the proposal (e.g., spreadsheet with quantities and costs, or CAD/BIM drawings) are the deliverables.
- Any other alterations or further revisions beyond the scope will be considered as extra work and might be charged extra fees.
- Geo Estimating is not required to make revisions after delivery unless there are fees approved and paid.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- In case of cancellation of a project after payment but before delivery, Geo Estimating will examine the case and can either give a partial refund or credit to subsequent services, considering the labor, transaction and administrative expenses incurred.
- Even without work commenced, there is a minimum cancellation fee of 25%.
- After a deliverable has been issued, no money back guarantee is offered, but credits can be issued at our will.
6. Confidentiality and Marketing Use
- Geo Estimating upholds the privacy of clients, and may sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) when requested.
- Without an NDA, Geo Estimating has the right to use project names, non-sensitive information, testimonials or sample deliverables (but not confidential client information) to market and include in its portfolio.
- Any clients who would like to maintain certain information confidential should inform Geo Estimating in written form in order to sign an NDA.
7. Liability Disclaimer
- The purpose of deliverables is to provide informational and project-support purposes.
- Geo Estimating will not bear indirect, consequential or incidental damages, which are caused by the use of its deliverables.
- Clients are still on the hook to check quantities, costs, and constructability and then proceed with procurement or construction.
